Storyline

With Brenda being interviewed by Captain Rayder over the death of a suspect she released, Lt. Mike Tao is the senior officer in charge of searching for a missing 9 year-old boy. The boy's parents are divorced and she is living with her new boyfriend, an ex-Las Vegas policeman who has a history of domestic abuse. The boy had ridden his new bike to summer camp that morning and is found floating in a swimming pool more than a mile away. The autopsy reveals that he did not drown however but died from a drug overdose. Meanwhile, Brenda is doing everything she can to avoid Raydor who is trying to convince her that she needs to get herself a lawyer.
