This episode greatly exaggerates the rareness of O-negative blood, claiming there are only about 24 people in Santa Barbara who have it. O-negative is rare, yes, but not THAT rare - estimates range from 6.6%(Stanford School of Medicine) to 9% (American Association of Blood Banks) of the U.S. population has it. With a population of about 88,410, there should be about 6,600 people in Santa Barbara with O-negative blood. (The audio commentary on the DVD addresses this error: Steve Franks, the show's creator, states that many fans pointed out this mistake in message boards. He blamed Wikipedia as the source of this incorrect information.) See more
