Very good series beginner with Ike seeming to beat the rap for the murder of the union boss. The Ben Diamond character proves over and over how ferocious he can really be; while the wife of Ike shows that she will go all the way for her man.

There are several ethnic slurs that are thrown around. Of course, this is done to try to get everyone having a feeling for the period. That's not to say that these terms don't exist today.

Violence seems to be the theme for this season's shows. Hopefully, we shall not fall into the trap of the show becoming an overly violent one.

The Judi Silver character is one that I'll be watching. She has perjured herself in a very good scene stealing courtroom appearance.
