In July 2008, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens had the honor of being the first Canadian company to be invited to perform at the prestigious dance festival "Les Etes de la Danse" in Paris, for a 3 week intensive showcase at the stunning and unforgettable Paris landmark "le Grand Palais". For certain dancers like John Hall and Isabelle Paquette, both soloists with the troupe for more than 5 years, this festival represents the pinnacle of their career; a dream come true: to dance in Paris ! For others, it's a turning point. Filmmaker Stephanie Weber Biron and Grands Ballets Soloist Gabrielle Lamb got privileged access to the troupe, from rehearsals and performances to candid behind-the-scenes glimpses and interviews with many of the company's dancers, technical and artistic staff.
