Watch Trailer For Black Romance Doc “Kiss And Tell”

4 April 2011 7:20 PM, PDT | ShadowAndAct | See recent ShadowAndAct news »

Here’s another selection that was screened at the Pan African Film Festival this year.

Directed by Darryl Pitts, the documentary Kiss And Tell recalls some of our favorite black couples in films.

A poignant, thought-provoking film in which actors, directors and producers discuss movies that inspired them, what it takes to make a great love story and scenes that touched them emotionally. Actually two films in one, Kiss and Tell is entertaining, with stories told by people “in the know” but also a clear social critique of how and where we are going with Black cinematic images. Narrated by Sheryl Lee Ralph, with commentary by Nia Long, Diahann Carroll, Keenan Ivory Wayans and Roger Ebert among others.

Sony Pictures Classics Officially Releasing Van Sant's Cannes-Bound Restless, Starring Wasikowska

We already announced this, but it's official now: Sony Pictures Classics will release Gus Van Sant's Restless in North America this fall. Given that Van Sant is a Croisette perennial, there's no way that Restless won't turn up there. Written by Jason Lew, the movie stars Jane Eyre's Mia Wasikowska and Henry Hopper (Kiss and Tell). The trailer is below. Although it was finished long ago, the director has been tinkering with the picture, which “looks and plays totally like an independent,” according to one source. It's a strangely huge day for birthdays in the music world, as it represents a turn of the calendar for idiosyncratic pop star Ke$ha (who is 24 today) as well as legendary Who frontman Roger Daltrey (he is now 67). In honor of Bieber's big day, here are the 17 definitive songs in the Bieber catalog.

(Click here for photos of what is in store for Justin Bieber in his 17th year!)

"One Time"

The song that most Beliebers heard first, "One Time" still sounds fresh, tight and emblematic of his entire aesthetic.

Bieber's biggest song, the one with the hugest hook and an underrated guest spot care of Ludacris.

"Eenie Meenie"

Over the course of his career, Bieber has established himself as a clutch collaborator, and this »
