Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

One notable item is a brief reference to a miscarriage.

Also, it is revealed that a very important (male) character has been forced into sex slavery as a prostitute, though in a very non-explicit manner. It is still very upsetting, however, as the victim is still very disturbed by these experiences.

Several brief kisses throughout.

Numerous bombings of innocent citizens. Some moderately graphic images.

People are also shown in a post-torture state: skinny, bald, bruised and with bloodshot eyes.

A depressed character is seen making a hanging rope throughout the movie.

Rebels are publicly executed by the government - (off screen) shot in the head point-blank while their faces are covered; we see the bodies fall to the ground.

In a fight scene a young man tries to kill a young woman, he smashes her against glass and throws her on the floor, attempts to choke her. The young woman survives after the young man is hit in the head with a large object; he too survives.

Several rebels are shot by Peacekeepers before the Peacekeepers are blown up by a bomb. In another scene, more rebels storm a guarded dam to destroy it; many are shown being shot and trampled.

There is further violence in the film - much of it is not that graphic.

Reference to a man's alcoholism.

A man asks for 'medication' and confesses to be upset with the strict alcohol prohibition in District 13.

Mass bombings and shootings of citizens, executions and torture. The overall theme is very dark.

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, some disturbing images and thematic material
