Storyline

Realizing that a groom who enjoys planning a dream wedding is 'obviously' gay, Fran ruins a marriage - and thus the rare home sale which Peter counted on to pay their taxes. So she volunteers to sell her now pointless diamond engagement ring. Peter already booked an exclusive dinner to thank her before he learns from Cesar that she ruined his deal. Her parents visit, still singing the praises of perfect catch Elliot. Written by KGF Vissers

Anything Goes on the Anniversary ***
30 June 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

You really have to hand it to former Oscar winner Rita Moreno. She seems to have found her niche playing a Jewish mother in this comedy. Both she and the guy playing her husband still show favoritism towards Fran's ex-husband.

We see an ironic twist in this episode when Fran spills the beans to a woman that the guy she is about to marry is just like Peter. Fran is ethical. She doesn't want the girl to wind up as she did after 18 years with Peter.

As stated, the segment with Rita Moreno is funny. Moreno's movements and the referral to the blintz (blintzes) broke me up.

Coming out gay or not, Fran and Pete still love each other. The proof is their anniversary night.
