Mr. Shatner's mortality
13 November 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I would give this a 9.98 out of 10 only because the Apple Lady and Avery Brooks were the only portions that could I could possibly deduct any points for. I was pretty disappointed in Avery's interview because he seems so wacky and very unlike his Star Trek character and too much time was spent with that crazy Apple Lady.

Star Trek had an early influence on me. After getting hooked on Star Trek (TOS) as a child I wanted to be an astronaut. I wasn't fortunate enough physically or financially to obtain that goal but that didn't stop me from being eternally interested in the universe and science behind it. I enjoy when "real" science has been influenced by Star Trek and this documentary would make Star Trek more real to any Star Trek fan.

As I watched the very last scene I realized that Mr. Shatner will be the only entertainer I would shed a tear for when he dies. I hope to get to meet him before Scotty beams him up.

Well done, Mr. Shatner. Well done.
