When the flat screen TV is broken during the hotel room fight (at around 6mins) sparks fly out. Nowadays flat screen TVs use LEDs for lighting at very low voltages so no sparks. Even if it was CCFL lit screen the operation voltage of around 200V wouldn't either. It would require an old fashioned CRT with tens of thousands of volts to give any real sparks.
