Sue Snell: No! Carrie please don't hurt me.
Carrie White: Why not? I've been hurt my whole life.
Sue Snell: Carrie had some sort of power. But she was just like me... like any of you. She had hopes, she had fears, but we pushed her. And you can only push someone so far before they break.
Margaret White: I don't want you to get hurt.
Carrie White: Or you could be happy for me.
Margaret White: Help this little girl who's sinned in her days and ways, if she'd made innocent the curse of blood would not be brought upon her...
Carrie White: Mama that's not even in the Bible, it doesn't say that anywhere.
Margaret White: Go to your closet and pray.
Carrie White: No
Margaret White: Pray!
[Margret grabs Carrie by the shoulders, throws her in the closet, and locks the door]
Carrie White: No! Ow! Mama!
Margaret White: You pray little girl, you pray for forgiveness!
Carrie White: NO! MAMA! Let me... LET ME GO! HELP!
[Carrie is banging on the door and then telekineticly makes a crack in the door]
Carrie White: There are other people out there like me who can do what I can do.
Margaret White: Brightly beams our father's mercy from his lighthouse evermore, but to us he gives the keeping of the lights along the shore.
Margaret White: You know the devil never dies, keeps coming back. But you gotta keep killing him.
Carrie White: If I concentrate hard enough I can make things move.
Carrie White: The other kids, they think I'm weird. But I don't wanna be, I wanna be normal. I have to try and be a whole person before its to late.
Chris Hargensen: [Sees Carrie standing in the street after the prom] Run her down! Kill her, Billy! Kill her!
Billy Nolan: [Stepping on the gas pedal] I've got this!
Margaret White: I'm gonna have to tell the boy the truth, that your father took me and you were born of sin.
Carrie White: You will say nothing.
Margaret White: [Carrie turns from Margret and makes her way downstairs] And from that sin...
Margaret White: [Carrie is downstairs and Margret's right behind her] From that sin was born another, the worst sin. A man or a woman who is a with, you are to be put to death you are to be stoned...
Carrie White: [Carrie stops and turns to Margret. Carrie FLEXES. Margret's body stops completely] I'm warning you, moma.
Margaret White: The devil's hand.
Carrie White: Please don't do this.
Margaret White: There will be a judgement... Carrie. As Jesabel fell from the tower, you too will...
[Carrie FLEXES. Margret's mouth shuts]
Tommy Ross: The prom is next week, if you don't have a date already maybe you wanna go with me?
Tommy Ross: [after the bucket of blood is dumped on Carrie] What the hell!
Margaret White: You must renounce this power, you must give it up! You must never use it!
Miss Desjardin: Are you gonna get him a boutonnière, or are you just gonna pin a bloody tampon to his lapel?
Carrie White: Mamma before you say anything else, I've been asked to prom.
[Margret slams the oven door]
Carrie White: Mamma I've been asked to prom.
Margaret White: [lightning roars]
[her head held up to God]
Margaret White: Oh God why?
Carrie White: Its next Saturday and he's a very nice boy, and he'll come in and meet you before and he promised to have me home by 10:30
Margaret White: [Margret shakes her head] No, no, no, no.
Carrie White: I've already excepted.
[Margret is stunned]
Carrie White: I know this scares you, it scares me to. The other kids they- they think I'm weird, but I don't wanna be, I have to try and be a whole person before its to late
Margaret White: [Margret holds Carrie's head in her hands and smiles, Carrie smiles back] He'll hurt you
Carrie White: [Carrie's smile fades, she moves her head out of Margret's hands] No mamma. No mamma ther- there are bad people but not Tommy he's good, you'll like him, hes a very nice boy
Margaret White: Boys, boys, after the blood... comes the boys. Sniffing, slobbering like dogs
Carrie White: Stop it mamma
[Carrie turns and walks from her to the living room]
Margaret White: He's gonna- he's gonna paw at you, until he finds out where that blood smell comes from. He's gonna take you Carrie, in his car, to the wilderness, out where its cold , and the roadhouses are and the whiskey
Carrie White: Stop being so crazy
Margaret White: Yo- you tell that boy your not going
Carrie White: No
[Carrie walks away again but still faces her]
Margaret White: Well move from here, were never gonna stop moving
Carrie White: No mamma
Margaret White: Your gonna go to your closet and your gonna pray, your gonna get in there and your gonna pray for forgiveness
Carrie White: NO NEVER AGAIN MAMMA
[every object in the living room lifts from the floor]
Margaret White: Ahhh
[Margret falls to her knees along with all the furniture in the living room. Margret looks up at Carrie, there is a long silence]
Carrie White: Mamma stand up
[Margret stares at Carrie]
Carrie White: Momma, STAND UP!
[Carrie lifts up her hand. Margret's entire body rises from the ground, she screams]
Carrie White: Mamma I'm going
Margaret White: Witch
Carrie White: Carrie- I'm not a witch mamma, there are no witches. Margret- The Devils Got her now
Carrie White: Carrie- Its not the devil mamma, there are other people out there like me that can do what I can do. MARGRET- You poor child, don't you know, don't you know he's working through you? CARRIE- Mamma its inherited, it was passed down from grandma and it skipped you, yo- you know that.
[Margret shakes her head in disbelief]
Carrie White: Carrie- Or maybe it came from daddy.
Margaret White: He gave me a cancer, I thought you were cancer
[Carrie shakes her head and flexes, Margret's body is pushed]
Margaret White: CARRIE- Mamma that's awful, don't- don't say that. MARGRET-
Margaret White: she- she's lost by your creator...
Carrie White: Pray all you want mamma, but I'm going. And nothings gonna stop me.
[Carrie drops her hand, Margret falls to her knees, then drops face first to the ground and cry's]
Carrie White: And I don't wanna talk about it anymore.
Chris Hargensen: [after Carrie accidentally hits Sue Snell in the head in Water Vollyball] You eat shit!
Chris Hargensen: Wipe that smile off your face.
Miss Desjardin: If the two of you are planning some kind of joke on a poor, lonely girl...
Sue Snell: Please don't hurt me, Carrie.
Carrie White: [from trailer] Why not?
Miss Desjardin: Carrie, do you understand what's happening to you?
Margaret White: [long bellowing cry from behind the door] Help me!
Margaret White: They're gonna laugh at you. They're all gonna laugh at you.
Carrie White: Mama, stop it!
Margaret White: Tell him you're not going!
Margaret White: I'll pick you up after school
[kisses Carrie's cheek]
Margaret White: [Carrie telekinetically lowers Margret down to the ground] Ahhhhhhh-ha.
Carrie White: I'm going mama.
Margaret White: [From trailer]
Margaret White: Go to your closet and pray...
Carrie White: No!
Margaret White: PRAY!
Carrie White: [Screams] NO! Momma!
Margaret White: You pray, little girl! You pray for FORGIVENESS!
Carrie White: [Screams] MOMMA! HELP!
