it was going alright until the meeting
Lythas_853 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
User sumtim3s00n summarized what i felt when I was halfway through the episode and watched the business meeting between the women and older dude:

"This one was particularly horrible due to the incredible forced "sexist" stamp they tried on Glassman. The guy did nothing, never talked down, ignored or said anything negative, only commended them, realistically said two months is nothing (it takes years often, and saying 2 months is nothing is not insulting, it is a measurent of overall time spent and the global impact this can have) and gave his improvements. Afterall, he is twice/three times their age and proportionally as much worth more in experience and knowledge. If anything it was insultingly sexist against HIM, the way they talked to him, Jordan especially. Every single scene with her is either angry, some way negative or preachy.

Advice and counsel he offered, he is afterall putting up his name as backing, which he worked hard for. Woman or man. Take it or leave it.

But nowadays unless you talk to a woman as your superior (NOT equal), it is immediately insulting. This was so pathetically grasping at straws..."

pretty much it.. older, experinced guy gives it to them raw and they get whiny about it... become victims.. and while she is going out she even has the nerve to say "ohh we did not know how to feel until you told me"... I would terminate the partnership on the spot..

what is the idea here? The guy should give them his extremely needed endorsement since by themselves they would accomplish nothing as an IT girl and a second year resident... and just be glad they included him?

Stop this nonsense.

Jagged little pill

Warning: Spoilers
Sorry not here for this lame attempt at a storyline to bring Jordan more into the picture. And the woke BS along with it has got to go. Glassman is NOT sexist, never was never will be. Not here for this woke BS.

At least there were medical issues
shuny21 April 2022
This was a big improvement over last week's nonsense. However, there are literally only two or three people in all of the US using an iron lung and they can't use something else. Lea, has become the Jill of all trades. In the past she saved the hospital from a computer attack, and now she is Cousin Vinny's Mona Lisa Vito, an expert car mechanic. The storyline of the boy in foster care is in the purview of a doctor's job. The writers seem to have an idea that outright lying is OK for what they think is a higher purpose. This time it was about a car part, another time they stole an organ from a donor by fabricating a sob story. Both are unethical. Last but not least, do they have a casting call for "differently abled" people? The show needs different writers.

Ridiculously Contrived and Forced "Sexist" Plot
sumtim3s00n19 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Every season this show drops a step. At least they got somewhat back to Shaun since last season he was a guest star. But the plots are still far from the rounded stories from first couple seasons, where they covered many topics (and morality) but LET THE VIEWER the final conclusion.

This one was particularly horrible due to the incredible forced "sexist" stamp they tried on Glassman. The guy did nothing, never talked down, ignored or said anything negative, only commended them, realistically said two months is nothing (it takes years often, and saying 2 months is nothing is not insulting, it is a measurent of overall time spent and the global impact this can have) and gave his improvements. Advice and counsel he offered, he is afterall putting up his name as backing, which he worked hard for. Woman or man. Take it or leave it.

But nowadays unless you talk to a woman as your superior (NOT equal), it is immediately insulting. This was so pathetically grasping at straws...

One of the worst written episodes in this show.

Sick of people whingeing about "woke".
drnikic9 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For the gods' sake go watch Two and A Half Men or Friends or Seinfeld. Something white and "unwoke" like that, anyway.

Having had my own whinge now, I will admit that the way the "sexism" thread was handled was pretty clumsy. It made Glassman look like a d*ck and Di Lallo and Allen look like "snowflakes" (to use the whingers' other favourite term). And Reznick was just rude and arrogant herself (but then she often is).

I did think Andrew's was going to take the foster kid under his wing, but at least he stopped focusing on the bottom line. As the kid was probably uninsured, keeping him another week would cost the hospital.

No a 10 but not a 1 either!

The Carlton
verve-lady26 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hill Harper as Dr Marcus Andrews doing the Carlton was a highlight. I laughed out loud enjoying the thought that a serious doctor dealing with a serious medical issue could break out of character to do as he promised. Love the levity.

S5.E15 - Mostly Good [9/10]
panagiotis19933 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
(S5. E15) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 15 ''My Way''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Dr. Allen and Lea want to start their own business? That's interesting, and Dr. Glassman wants to join too? Both the old lady and the lady with dwarfism are so sweet and likeable. Its obvious that this teenager has been abused but he wont talk about it with Dr. Andrews which is sad. Lea and Jordan want Dr. Glassman's advice for their business but Lea acts like an annoying child after hearing his advice. Morgan says that Dr. Glassman has toxic masculinity? What the hell? That's not true. Love how Dr. Andrews wants to help this teenager. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

Why? Why? Why?
BuffyGroupie21 April 2022
Why do they make women such insufferable idiots? Not all women think that men are bad. But this episode was so terrible. The show has been going downhill, and this was the crash at the bottom. Glassman was in no way even remotely sexist. If anything, those ridiculous creepy women were behaving in the most sexist way possible and should all be fired. I can't stand to look at them. I'm a normal woman and I'm glad to live in a world with strong smart men. Since there are none on this show anymore, I think I'm done watching.

Embarrassing.
ManjeetG30 July 2022
Dr Glassman gave good advice to Jordan & Lea. Fine, one would think, we can ruminate on that and see how best it fits to enhance the product. But, nooo. The women began to behave irrationally. Jordan, Lea and especially Reznick were all unreasonable, over sensitive and disrespectful to Dr Glassman. They were the sexist ones. They "woman-splained".

A disgrace
naguibadel19 April 2022
It's criminal what they're doing to this show, forcing this moronic agenda just because, doesn't add to the story or the character, on the contrary, it just made me dislike them even more , imagine a resident talking to the head of the hospital and telling him to "shut up" , if that was the real world that doctor whoever they were would be fired immediately , also glassman is nowhere near sexist , wtf is This bs , stop forcing this into every single show in existence, it's not even funny anymore.

Soo many eye-rolls
abbysbazil20 April 2022
I could barely finish the episode over all the nonsensical pity-partying and victim mentality. None of this has anything to do with Shaun and being a good doctor. It's just more virtue signaling and it's so annoying.

Men making suggestions = sexism?
leoseimetz23 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Most of the reviews already covered it. Lea and Jordan create a new project then procced to ask Glassman about suggestions.

Then the man, that is a known, experienced brain surgeon and hospital leader, tell them in a kinda "I know better you should do this and that to get this going". Yea, it is a bit arrogant, but it is not because they're woman, and he even says that in the damn episode, like if it were 2 man here it would be the same thing.

I even thought that would be the reverse plot on the leftist agenda, but oh boy I was wrong. Reznick comes after Glassman lately saying he was sexist, mansplaining and all that, and by the mere fact that he was disagreeing with her was just confirming all of her claims. Well, guess this is what it is nowadays: if you are called a sexist, you must stay quiet, otherwise (if you oppose) it just confirms the allegation. This is just sad and dull.

This show has been decreasing it's quality a lot, but it is still watchable thanks to Murphy and the early hospital crew. However, I'd suggest that you fire the damn writer who got out of a Instagram leftist trend and then wrote those wokeist lines to this episode.

Please stop this political forced, free male bashing non sense.

Yeah please god stop the wokeness.
drmokedweed12320 April 2022
A first year having the audacity to talk to a world renowned brain surgeon and probably the most important person in the hospital like that.

Stop with this cringe nonsense. If anything it made all 3 of the female characters come across as unlikable. Kinda 'ironic' eh?

Enough with the Woke BS.
akhil0271 July 2022
According to these woke people, men should just keep their mouth shut. Anything men say can and will be used against them. Men explain things and they suddenly call it mansplaining. Irony is that women in the show are always explaining things to men in a condescending manner all the time.

Representation and feminism are good. But when it's forced down people's throat, it simply doesn't work and the outcome is the opposite of good.

Take the gay character. There's nothing interesting going on in his life. Instead of making the character better, the writers chose to have a character who's gay just for the sake of it.

Mansplaining is a Sexist Word
jnonis27 May 2022
Too bad they ruined a very nice story about dyslexia by portraying women as whiners and showed the true sexism of the writers.

Try reversing all the roles in the show and it never would have been called sexism. Young men in this country are checking out because for some reason it's ok for women to be blatantly sexist and inherently evil to be a male. This episode really got it wrong.

First off all I think the people who cry woke etc are some of the most awful moaners on this site
andycottier6 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a show that talks about social issues and sorry if you don't like that.

Having said that the way Lea reacted to Glassman was pathetic. They came for his advice and he gave it but they didn't like the way he said it.

How are they going to make it in the business world if this old gentle man says something that innocuous and they get all offended.

That seemed really bad writing.

Anyway average episode of an OK series.

Typical Leftist Propaganda..
maketomusic24 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
...When Glassman shared his ideas with Lea and Jordan it was "sexist" of Glassman to do so.. And after 15 minutes when Jordans PMS meltdown calmed down she said the EXACT same ideas that Glassman said, and voila, its a GENIUS idea..

The writers of this episode really blew..

Hallmark awaits!
bosporan19 April 2022
A whiny soap opera story - this show is rapidly losing its beautiful core identity. Perhaps the writers are hoping the Hallmark channel would take it on.

A mushy blancmange non-story, though better than the previous offering.

Took me about 3 hours to get through this garbage episode
AaronWilsonBabineau18 September 2022
I don't really need to explain why this episode was so bad, every person who watches it can immediately see what's wrong. Even if you agree with the agenda the writers are trying to shove down your throat (which is fine), you have to admit, this does nothing for the plot or the characters overall.

And I've had a thought in my head for a while about this show that they MUST be trying to make all the female characters completely unlikeable. Maybe if they do that and people complain about it, they can say we only hate them because they're women, but no, it's just because they're awfully written characters. You know how "all publicity is good publicity".

Shallow portrayal of sexism
shacme7 June 2022
I think the show did a poor job of showing what sexism is in the workplace, but it definitely is present today. What Dr. Glassman did can be categorized more as a microagression, the show did not properly showed this. The resolution resolved too easily instead of having a nuanced conversation about what sexism is.
