User Reviews

One of the best all-around crime shows on TV today.
30 July 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This show stands out for me as a superior crime show for several reasons. It steers away from the over-serious acting of other crime shows that permeate our evening TV (such as NCIS). It leaves out the more grueling aspects of the crimes and the violence is kept to a low minimum. It focuses more on the characters, has real personalities and story lines for each character, and adds a wonderfully clever sense of tongue-in-cheek humor that works - it truly is funny. Some of the crime scenarios are corny of course, but it's just enough and well done. There's none of the lame attempt at humor mixed with seriously bad acting and dialogue of Rizzoli & Isles (I can never even understand what Angie Harmon is saying half the time - she slurs her speech so fast). Nor is there the serious, tightlipped and never smiling dialogue of the NCIS, nor the obligatory torture scenes of other crime-spy thriller TV shows that get so lurid. There's not an actor on this show that lacks anything, and it's great. I hope it stays for yet more seasons.
