I'm kind of amazed that most people still don't get it.

Benton = Duane Peters.

When you get that, you get everything.

We can even speculate that, at the time this short documentary was made, there was probably some reluctance from Duane to participate. So they offered to make it fun and use a fictional name "Benton", "fill the pool with water", ask the Z-boys to play along with humor just to get Duane's agreement to do it and participate.

Duane, young and fearless like many youngsters, jumped from a roof (sick!) into an empty swimming pool (not into a pool full of water! Although there may have been some rest of water at the bottom) in front of the Zephyr Boys. He did moves never seen before. The rest is history.

After this groundbreaking day, skateboarding was not only technic and style anymore, skateboarding implemented the third layer :

X-treme/Pushing the limits

This documentary is a crucial piece of history that was missing to understand the origin of skateboarding. You have the most influential skateboard crew in the history of skateboarding establishing the truth and paying tribute to Duane Peters.

This makes this documentary one of the most important documentary for the skateboarding world.

If I may use a parable: Duane Peters was the match that lit the fire.

The Z-Boys were the fire that spread through the forest.

Thank you Duane Thank you Z-Boys.
