Incompetent Detectives are the real shock to this episode

Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler alert-this comment will tell u who the murder is. The detectives for some reason waited weeks to pursue the obvious suspect after interviewing him within hours after the murder. The suspect had an injury to his hand- the detectives did not even take pictures of the injury when they interviewed him and did not even look up the suspects legal history (theft and other charges- did 10 years in prison and just got out a few weeks earlier) until weeks later and after a pawn shop owner reporting a man pawned the victims ring. Thank God for video showing the Curtis Linus pawning the ring. These black detectives trusted Mr Linus' denial of committing the murder. No mention of trying to get a search warrant immediately after interviewing Mr Linus apartment despite hand injury, he had access to the victim's apartment key that night and his criminal history (again the police did not even look at his history until weeks later. They would of likely found blood evidence/blood on his clothes he wore that night, the stolen ring and the murder weapon if the detectives searched his apartment. The incompetence of these detectives suggests they did not care because they did not want to implicate a black man or are completely incompetent. I believe the former is the likely excuse. Ridiculous.
