  • Three months after the serial killer attacked her, Janet Scott returns to work. She is welcomed with open arms by her colleagues and is soon on the job, interviewing a young witness who is afraid of retaliation should he make a statement to the police. DCI Gill Murray would like her to speak to serial killer Geoff Hastings to see if he'll reveal the identities of some of his other victims. When Janet says she's an idiot for getting back with Nick Savage and that he's only being nice to her so she doesn't report him over an indiscretion with a juror, Rachel has it out with. The next day there is a hit and run accident and Rachel realizes Nick's mobster client may have been trying to kill her. It's actually simpler than that.
