Pretty good, made before parody became mere rip-off

Given my dedication to Adult Cinema, I wasn't surprised that this title take-off on Robin Williams' "Patch Adams" was far more entertaining than the maudlin original. Directed by Old School Stuart Canterbury, it's no great shakes, but at least watchable.

That's because Canterbury doesn't try to copy the character and materials as has become the norm in the past decade of execrable porn-parodies. Only the bare bones of the story are here, thank God!

Sydnee Steele opens the show in a loony bin where she is a voyeur watching a hot nurse have anal sex with crazy patient Michael J. Cox.

After Cox's money shot "Three Years Later" is flashed on screen, and Sydnee has become a student nurse working at a hospital run by a hissable martinet doctor played by Kyle Stone. She and two fellow sexy femme nurse and doctor interns have sexual antics, and ultimately Kyle becomes a good guy.

Not much of a story, but the gals led by Steele turn in hot performances, and her brief moments of do-gooderism, replete with a red clown nose to emulate Robin Williams, avoid the treacly pitfalls of the late comic who would be Hamlet's stinker of a feature. And this video gives the iconic superstar of a decade or so earlier Samantha Strong a chance to shine in what IMDb lists as her final screen appearance.
