Storm in an hourglass tells a near future tale of a post-war Finland, where the society and infrastructure are but a memory of the past, and the surviving population are left drifting in the war-torn ruins, ridden by a savage plague. The film follows a lone wanderer named Nyman, a hermit, scarred by the horrors he witnessed during the war. But as he's brutally attacked and robbed, he's soon faced with the fact that in order to survive and find justice, he must learn to trust other people again.
