Having been a fan of Thor and his rivalry with Loki for forty years, I had hoped that a story titled Thor vs. Loki: Blood Brothers, would have great if only from the inherent pathos of their conflict.
Unfortunately, the story is banal and superficial to the point of being painful to listen to. Loki just rants and raves with the dialogue that was totally stolen from Shakespeare, almost line by line. I guess since Shakespeare is in the public realm, anyone can rob the long deceased bard, and cobble together chunks of Shakespeare's monologues, changing the names to Thor, Loki, and Asgard, instead of Hamlet, McBeth, etc.
Then you have to consider with the the horrible, atonal (all light gray and light green), stick figure art. Imagine characters talking with the jaws on pegs like in South Park?? The arms and legs move like cut-out figures? What awful and lazy animation. This cartoon throws back animation art back before Popeye and the original Mickey Mouse. Not even the 1920s Katzenjammer Kids cartoons had animation that was this bad.
I can honestly say that I never had wanted to throw up while watching a cartoon until I saw Thor vs. Loki. The bizarre animation and rip-off dialogue made my brain burn. I had to turn it off after the 75th "miscreant."
