Good But Not Great

Warning: Spoilers
After a rather disappointing start when it came to the original film I can honestly say I have been reinvigorated. Still, with all the additions and improvements to the film I am still bit annoyed with the acting. However, the editing did a good job at hiding the actors lack of experience. A Tiger in the Dark may have gotten off to a rocky start but it is due to the perseverance by the cast and crew that the more recent films have shown what this series is truly capable of. Still, "Revisited" is a great rendition of how to make an already good film better. The incorporation of "real" stunt footage was surprising, funny and enlightening. Again, the only downside to this film was the acting but I guess that's to be expected. Regardless, this is good film.

Not what I expected

Warning: Spoilers
Seeing the latest version of this film made me not regret seeing it the first time. The original film was below par simply because of the acting. Seeing the enhancements and improvements from sound and picture quality to the inclusion of actual footage makes the whole experience better. The re-edit was cleverly done and hides a lot of the continuity issues. Though, this is a short film with a few open ended questions it is a great start to what is now a long running series which has caught the attention of many people. It would not surprise me if in a few years Hollywood remade this film for the big screen. I recommend this film for film festivals and students looking to make their own films. It's a great way to get your feet wet before hitting the pavement :)
