  • Lots of emphasis on uncomfortable tension and heavy atmosphere which makes each scene very unnerving.
  • Jumpscares are very ominous and heavy, though more disturbing if anything. Eyeballs fill in the holes of a confession room, supernatural occurrences are prominent, and sudden instances of terror induce the sinister tone of the film.
  • Sister Narcisa deals with a repressed psyche throughout the narrative which gradually develops into the inability to pick between belief or imagination.
