Cowboy up lady
4 November 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In this action packed episode, someone is killing off the Regents. The team catches Stukowski and take her back to the warehouse where Mrs. Frederic and Steve interrogate her with Mrs. F using increasingly severe methods much to Steve's consternation. Knowing Stukowski had a partner, Claudia and Pete go off in search of him while Artie and Myka race off to the skyscraper where a few of the Regents are having an emergency meeting. An artifact previously planted by Stukowski soon traps the Regents, Artie and Myka in the building. The building continues to self destruct and those trapped have a narrow escape from an elevator and struggle to find a safe way out of the building and one Regent dies. One Regent and Artie do make it out of the building but Myka and one of the Regents, Jane, remain trapped. Myka and Jane, a forthright and outspoken Regent, form a bond. The best part of the episode is the growing respect Myka and Jane have for each other. They also have some of the snappiest dialog in the episode such as when Myka tells Jane "Cowboy up lady and let's get out of Dodge." At one point, Jane says that their situation is "fubar." This is an expression I was not familiar with but am not surprised to learn that it's a military expression; it certainly aptly described their situation. Kate Mulgrew did a wonderful job as Jane; I always liked her as Captain Janeway. Jane, Janeway - interesting. Plenty of action in this one and we get a brief glimpse of the evil mastermind behind the reign of terror falling on the Regents. The cliffhanger ending caught me by surprise. Very good episode.
