- Joe takes Stanny, Summer, Georgia and Shoot to a vacant loft to show them that he has bought it and will be moving in soon. Shoot goes off with the realtor, Jimbo. During the drive back to Georgia and Summer's house, Summer and Shoot get into an argument when Shoot reveals that she was on the roof of the building engaging in sexual acts with Jimbo. Feeling shocked and betrayed, Summer thought that being a lesbian, Shoot only has sex with women. Shoot maintains that she still is a lesbian, but to her sex is just sex, regarless of the genger... echoing what Summer told Georgia some weeks earlier.
In the second car, Joe talks with Stanny that he is developing romantic feelings for Summer despite that she is involved with Shoot.
After arriving home, Joe quickly packs his things and moves out into his new loft and invites Stanny to move in with him, but Stanny still turns him down, wanting to see what his path will take him with Georgia.
That evening, Shoot and Summer get into another big fight over their own relationship and Shoot reminds Summer that she was the one who set up the ground rules that their relationship is strictly sexual and that gave Shoot the impression that their relationship is open to others. When Shoot dares Summer to go to Joe and engage him with sex, Summer does leave and go to Joe's new loft as he is unpacking and they have sex on the bed mattress. Afterworkds, Joe feels guilty about it, whereas Summer does not. Joe does not want to be Summer's own sex friend, and she goes back to re-consumate her relationship with Shoot where they have sex. Afterwords, Summer tells Shoot, "I love you", and Shoot replies back the same.
Meanwhile, the strain is getting to both Stanny and Georgia as she refuses to say "I love you" back to Stanny. After an argument about where they stand on their own relationship, Stanny leaves and drives away in his pickup truck, and telling Georgia that their relationship is over.
