Capt. Maria LaGuerta (as Lauren Velez)

Having rescued Travis at the church, Dexter now tries to figure out what the next tableau will be. With Travis having agreed to help him, Dexter gets him a room in a hotel to keep him safe. A clue from one of the paintings eventually leads Dexter to a Professor Casey, an avowed atheist. He tries to warn Casey about what may happen but the professor brushes him off, claiming to get threats all of the time. Unfortunately, the doomsday killer strikes again. When Travis disappears, Dexter traces him to the church. Dexter finds him alive but also makes a startling discovery. Meanwhile Batista takes Quinn to task when he fails to show up for work and apparently left his phone and gun behind in someone's car when he left the strip club. Dexter Morgan: [narrating] I've had my dark passenger for so long that I can't really recall life without it. Like someone who's grown up with a club foot, or a stutter, or a lazy eye. It's simply been my own affliction that I accept as part of who I am. But for Travis, his dark passenger is a more recent acquisition. He's not adjusting so well. So I'm going to help separate them.

Gellar's Hideout
23 July 2014 | by (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) – See all my reviews

Dexter saves Travis that promises to help him to kill Gellar and leaves him in a hotel room. Debra continues her therapy and discusses her relationship with Dexter with the psychologist. The she has a briefing with her team and Louis shows a post of Gellar's Blog and he believes that the next tableau would be "Bows of Wrath", meaning punishment poured on people. Dexter finds that Gellar hates the atheist Professor Casey and he goes to the university to unsuccessfully warn him that he might be in danger. Meanwhile Debra decides to reopen the case of the call girl after the visit of her father. Dexter visits Travis in the hotel and Debra calls him telling that Casey is dead. Dexter goes with Travis to the old church to meet Gellar, and he finds his hideout in the basement.

In "Get Gellar", there is a surprising twist in the story when Dexter finds Gellar in the basement of the church. Angel and Quinn have a funny scene when Quinn visits the stripper that he had had one night stand. Debra will certainly be confused with her therapy and will get in trouble with her decision of reopening the case of the dead prostitute. My vote is eight.
