simply don't make sense
18 December 2011 | by (New York) – See all my reviews

Why did Dexter know Ms. Doorsey carrying wormwood? Nobody in Miami Metro Homicide ever question, ever investigate!! either the people in the department are all dumb or they don't have common sense. the script writers used to take this kind of problem into account and develop a more clever plot so to make dexter not getting under radar. but not this time! this time, the writers simply make everyone shut up and forget about dexter knowing Ms. Doorsey carrying wormwood, very unconvincing!! Besides this episode, there are some serious problems with this season (and the previous season). First, they add in new characters without developing them. Mike Anderson? I don't even know what he is doing in this season. i dunno his life, i don't know his personality. at least, they can try to create some conflicts between him and the main characters just to spice things up. Second, they add in a character that has nothing to do with the cases and is just plain unlikable. yes, I mean Quinn. Right from the start, he was just there so that deb could have a boyfriend. and after that, i didn't see he had a lot to do with the story development. he was not helping the cases, he was late for work, he was drunk and had sex with different girls at night, why is he still there? Third, there is problem with Dexter himself. why he always look angry? Dexter used to be cruel, calm, gentle and affectionate. but in this season, he is just plain angry. what's the problem? Overall, this season is a big disappointment. and for the script writers, i hope you can take your time to develop season 7 & 8. the success of Dexter is based on its clever plot, likable and multidimensional characters, and Dexter himself. please don't ruin it.
