Slightly slow, but suspenseful nonetheless.

If I'm totally blunt, I found this second part rather boring, the first installment was very dramatic, sharp and hugely atmospheric, whereas this second part felt just a little mundane.

The acting was the saving grace, I did particularly enjoy the performance of Hugh Fraser, good to see him in a different role to the one in Poirot which he's so fondly remembered for. He helped create a dramatic ending.

It was still an intriguing, good watch, it just became a bit too drawn out. 6/10

The second part of Death in Holy Orders sees Commander Adam Dalgliesh interviewing suspects.

The seminary was in danger of being closed. This is why Archdeacon Matthew Crampton may had been savagely beaten.

Dalgliesh though finds that dark family secrets have a bearing on who the murderer might be. Young Raphael Arbuthnot seems to be disturbed by what he hears.

This was an atmospheric production, it was just a shame that I found Martin Shaw to be just too generic to be Dalgliesh.

Young Jesse Spencer who was at the time better known for being in Neighbours is very good. No surprise he found success in America.
