(I) (2011)

Plot Summary

  • Like his father and grandfather before him, optometrist Max Stein has brought much needed clarity to his patients, but not solely in the form of glasses and contact lenses. For some patients, Max is able to provide clarity in their lives as well. Using special skills and equipment passed down to him through the generation, Max is able to make these patients see so clearly, that when they read the bottom line on his mystical eye-chart, the letters there form a message of great personal meaning visible only to that person. Despite the problems in their own lives, though, neither Max, nor his long-time assistant and confidante, Kathy, have ever read the mystical eye-chart's bottom line themselves.
