‘Anti-Porno’ Trailer: Japanese Director Sion Sono Returns with a Feminist Take on Sexuality

The film premiered last year at L’Etrange Festival in France, where it was praised for its feminist take on sexuality that does, in fact, live up to its title. For its premiere, the film was described:

First Trailer for Sion Sono’s ‘Anti-Porno’ Opens a Window to Erotic Fantasies

Having directed nearly fifteen films this decade alone, Japanese director Sion Sono (whose Why Don’t You Play in Hell? and Tokyo Tribe seemed to get the most substantial U.S. releases as of late) will be adding onto his resume his latest film, Anti-Porno. Ahead of a Japanese release this month, the first trailer has now arrived.

For this project, Sono has collaborated with Japan’s mega entertainment company Nikkatsu with the goal of resurrecting the old iconic Roman Porno series—a series of Japanese softcore pornographic films that ran from November 1971 to May 1988. The director also plans to put forth his own creative touch on the pornographic genre with refreshing tones on women’s sexuality that’s rarely shown on the big-screen. While the trailer doesn’t have subtitles, one can glean a glimpse at Sono’s vibrant color palette.

Starring Ami Tomite and Mariko Tsutsui, check out

Anti-porno: First Trailer For Sono's Latest Delivers A Splash Of Color And Fetish

Never one to shy away from controversy, Sono Sion takes part in iconic Japanese studio Nikkatsu's re-boot of their famed (and infamous) Roman Porno label with his most recent effort, Anti-Porno. And true to form for Sono, who delights in tweaking expectations, his entry into the series - a series of films that promises directors total creative freedom on condition that they include nudity on set intervals - has been widely hailed on its festival run as a feminist take on sexuality that does, in fact, live up to its title. Here's how it was described by the L'Etrange Festival in France for its premiere: Fashion star Kioko is bored in her apartment, waiting for a meeting with Watanabe, a chief-editor who’s interviewing her. Madison Avenue Vet Laura Caraccioli To Lead Fox’s Efforts To Weave Advertisers Into Content
Laura Carracioli, a veteran executive with a long history of working to lace advertisers’ products and messages into content, is joining Fox Broadcasting as the network places more emphasis on matching Madison Avenue with its programs.

Fox named Carracioli its new senior vice president and head of brand partnerships and said she would lead its efforts to devise what it called “strategic advertising partnerships” for content ranging from scripted to unscripted and live-event programming. She will join Fox on July 18 and report to Angela Courtin, the network’s chief marketing officer.

Fox has shown new interest in nabbing such business. Last season, the network struck a deal with Pepsi that gave that company’s flagship beverage a role in a three-episode arc of “Empire” as well as a special commercial that played off the show’s storyline. “We are never going to force things into places they don’t belong, but

Rachel Zoe, ‘Project Runway Junior’ Lead the Fashion TV Charge
“America’s Next Top Model” is soon going off the air after 22 cycles, but the fashion television genre will be in style for seasons to come.

Tyra Banks’ modeling competition debuted on UPN 12 years ago, launching the high demand for high-fashion unscripted TV, before moving to the CW, where it will finish up its final runway walk in late 2015 — the same quarter Banks launched her new syndicated daytime talker “FabLife,” a lifestyle show that covers the mainstream fashion conversation on a daily basis.

The year after “Top Model’s” 2003 premiere, Bravo introduced viewers to “Project Runway.” Now on Lifetime, the show is in its 14th season, and has spawned five spinoffs. Ratings for the Heidi Klum-hosted designer competition are up 10%, and the show has been Emmy-nominated for best reality series every year since it’s been eligible. With nearly 60 nominations and a major win for the supermodel as best host,

Ben Silverman on Working with Netflix, Storytelling for Advertisers, Being on the Road

Days after “Marco Polo,” produced by Electus and The Weinstein Co., bowed in France on Dec. 12, day and date with the U.S, Electus chairman-founder Ben Silverman was at the Cristal Festival, nearly 6,000 feet up in the French Alps In Courchevel, to deliver a keynote speech, “Creativity and Big Ideas” as part of Cristal’s Brand Entertainment & Content Summit.

France’s Cristal Fest was high-level in other ways. AOL’s digital guru David Shing spoke before Silverman (on “There Are Still Only 24 Hours in a Day”); Trigger Street Prods’ “House of Cards” producer Dana Brunetti was interviewed afterwards, before receiving an Outstanding Merit Award.

Silverman wasn’t in Courchevel for the skiing, such as its respected Grand Couloir black ski run. Via Electus, he is involved in at least three of the most talked-up business lines in entertainment: High-end series – for instance, Netflix’s “Marco Polo,” produced by Electus and

Hollywood’s New Leaders: Creative
Ike Barinholtz, 37

Actor-writer-producer

He plays daffy on “The Mindy Project,” but Barinholtz is a master of multitasking. He writes and produces on “Project,” recurs on HBO’s “Eastbound & Down” and FX’s “The League” and lends his voice on Hulu’s “The Awesomes.” But his recent resume doesn’t end there; the rangy Chicagoan has roles lined up in “The Nest” and “Angry Birds,” and got a thrill out of appearing in “Neighbors” this year because he got to be “in a movie with Zac Efron after being mistaken for him for so many years.” On the set, Barinholtz says he witnesses great leadership every day.

Reality TV Stars Who Can’t Stop Being on Reality TV

  • VH1.com
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County first premiered on MTV. What’s crazier to think about is that America’s Next Top Model has been on air for 21 cycles, The Real Housewives franchise has expanded from Orange County to six other cities in the U.S. alone, and New York no longer refers to the city or state. Over the past decade, these reality shows have produced a number of stars who have built a career around being on reality TV. Just look at Bethenny Frankel, who first got started on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart before becoming a household name on The Real Housewives of New York.

And after leaving the show to pursue solo projects, it was announced on Wednesday that she is returning to the long-running franchise for its seventh season. Frankel can certainly be considered a

The show tracks her daily life and gives insight into her decisions on style, relationships, work and everything in between.

“‘Candidly Nicole’ has surpassed every goal that we set for the launch,” said Susan Levison, executive vice president of original programming and production for VH1. “The series increased viewers in its time period by 50 percent, attracted thousands of new viewers to the channel and shared Nicole Richie’s sharp wit and comedic flair for highlighting some of the absurdities of the real world. We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Nicole on another season.

Costume Designer Janie Bryant on ‘Mad Men’s’ Timeless Style

Costume Designer Janie Bryant on ‘Mad Men’s’ Timeless Style
A leggy starlet with a headful of hair-sprayed curls emerges from her convertible to welcome a grizzled, yet handsome man after his long flight.

The message to “Mad Men” viewers watching the AMC show’s season opener is clear: It sure didn’t take long for Megan Draper to adjust to life in the City of Angels.

What helped make the scene so memorable was the ice blue, itsy bitsy, teeny weeny babydoll dress worn by actress Jessica Pare.

Aside from causing fashionista fan girls to swoon across the Twittersphere, the episode also garnered costume designer Janie Bryant and her team an Emmy nod — Bryant’s fourth for the series and a category she won (with Le Dawson) in 2005 for “Deadwood.”

“We wanted to give Megan an amazing dramatic entrance,” Bryant says. “That was actually a vintage dress that I used. I loved it because it was the color of the sky,
