DBZ Abridged even better then originals!
9 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

One day I was chain clicking and ended up in that "weird" part of youtube. Eventually I came across dbz abridged clips. I had no idea they were part of something much bigger and moved on in my life.

Months later I found a clip of Vegeta singing Whitney Houston and Abridged appeared as a related video. I noticed it was the entire series condensed into what I later discovered to possibly be the best most professional fan based parodies ever. I started on episode one and did not get up until into season 3, later the movies.

Most cartoon dubs on the net are just clips that people threw together with default windows programs, but this series illuminates of talent and skill motivated by passion. Its obvious that much time was devoted to the project. The original dialogue through flawless editing matches or even ascends any given cable comedy series. If I had to post my favorite clip, it would just be a copy of the entire series because this is not one of those shows where somebody says "Well it had its moments."

Unlike Family Guy, nothing is redundant, including the running gags (which actually get funnier in time and then stops before it gets old). To top it off, anyone could follow the story without ever seeing the original DBZ. To dbz fans, all the references to plot holes (the condescending dragon suggesting better wishes) or character flaws (Krillin/Yamcha being near completely useless) all add even more comedic value.

This show is just a manifestation of love towards the original DBZ worthy of praise from Toriyama himself. The internet is so great because no longer does industry with infinite amounts of capitol have monopolies on video entertainment. Technology has progressed so that professional grade software is available to ordinary fans with extraordinary dedication.
