Storyline

Iowa businessman Lance Olson is mugged while smoking outside the restaurant his wife Margaret insisted to be part of their 10 anniversary 'second honeymoon'. The mayor makes the case top priority due to the negative impact on lucrative tourism. Danny rightly holds out against his prosecuting sister's willingness to go for the prime suspects and traps the Midwest fiends. Jamie politely lays the eager to learn rookie so he can consult the medical examiner's database concerning the alleged suicide of his would be-Blue Templars undercover investigation recruiter. The bad reputation of the Big Apple
6 October 2016 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

This episode shows a real divergence in the job attitudes of elected and appointed officials. For the mayor he serves the shooting of a tourist from Iowa who went out for a smoke while dining with his wife at an upscale restaurant is a public relations matter. We don't want tourism declining hence this case must be given top priority. On Criminal Intent Goren and Eames would have it.

But for Police Commissioner Tom Selleck it rubs him the wrong way that the tourist from Iowa rates above citizens of his city, minority citizens at that.

This also causes division between brother and sister Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan. When Wahlberg arrests Haitian immigrant Gbenga Akinnagbe for the crime she's feeling she has a slam dunk. Akinnagbe didn't help himself by running either.

Dinner at the Reagans on Sunday is kind of tense between the siblings.

Not a bad story, tune in to find out who was right and why the brother and sister took the positions they did.
