A researcher by the name of Melba S. Ketchum reports she and her team have examined Bigfoot
DNA. Ketchum claims her evidence -- which is yet to be submitted to peer review -- proves 15,000 year old cryptids procreated with modern human women, resulting in the mysterious and elusive Sasquatch.
"A team of scientists can verify that their five-year long DNA study, currently under peer-review, confirms the existence of a novel hominin hybrid species, commonly called 'Bigfoot
' or 'Sasquatch,' living in North America," says the news release. "Researchers' extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago."
According to Yahoo News, Ketchum has requested that, based on her findings, the U.S. government recognize Bigfoot
as "an indigenous people and immediately protect their human and Constitutional rights against those who would see in their physical and cultural differences a 'license' to hunt,
