Storyline

A barely alive young Jane Doe is found on a cliff-side road outside of rural Lake Worth, North Carolina, she who seemingly jumped or fell off the cliff. The BAU are called in because many of her pre-fall injuries - stab wounds - are consistent with another Jane Doe body found in the area three years earlier. The BAU quickly come to the conclusion that the unsub is a sexual sadist and predator who is abducting these women and holding them captive, this latest Jane Doe who probably saw an opportunity to escape. Upon arrival in the area, the BAU discover a recently tampered with mass grave filled with other young, primarily blond, women. The latest Jane Doe, who eventually succumbs to her injuries, is ultimately identified as Angela Proctor, who was traveling with her best friend, Marcy Owens, who is also missing and presumed held captive by the unsub. The BAU come up with a suspect named Marcus Talbot, a known past sexual predator who is currently a high school art teacher in Lake Worth... Written by Huggo

Just Some Notes about North Carolina
4 May 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The places mentioned, fictitious and real, are from all over the state. There is no North Carolina College in Raleigh. There is a North Carolina State University (NCSU).

Raleigh is not 4 hours away from Washington County (which is northeast of Raleigh). The terrain shown in the episode is all wrong for northeastern NC, which is flat, on the coastal plain. The terrain shown is more like that west of Winston-Salem, in the foothills of the Appalachians. There is a community called Lake Worth in NC, but it is in Dare County, not Washington County.

Lake Worth is about 200 miles away from Raleigh, but it is very flat land, not the terrain shown in the episode (it is almost on the ocean). Wilkesboro is in the western part on NC, in the mountains. A policeman from Washington County or Dare County would not be involved in a raid in Wilkesboro, NC.
