Tucci Creating Another Cookbook
Actor Stanley Tucci is launching his second cookbook.

The Julie & Julia star first showed off his love of the kitchen by sharing secret family recipes in passion project Cucina & Famiglia in 1999.

And now after years of honing his skills with some of the finest chefs in the world, the actor reveals he's set to release The Tucci Family Cookbook in partnership with publisher Simon & Schuster this autumn.

During an appearance on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America on Tuesday (17Arp12), he said, "I love to cook. We had a cookbook that came out about a decade ago and it's actually being revised now and will be out in October. With a whole new look and some new recipes and stuff."

The tome, which will feature a foreword by restaurant entrepreneur and longtime pal Mario Batali, will hit U.S. stores on 23 October and contain Italian meal ideas and wine pairings.

Tucci has always had strong ties to the food industry - he currently serves as a board member on the Food Bank for New York City, which helps fight hunger, and he fronted 2011 wine show Vine Talk.

Stanley Tucci: 'The numbers mean nothing to me'

Stanley Tucci is topping off a good year with a cutting-edge drama about the credit crisis. He talks to Hermione Hoby about capitalism, the Occupy movement – and playing gay BFFs

At 3pm sharp, Stanley Tucci takes his seat in a cafe in New York's West Village with the words: "What are we drinking?" It's more a salutation than a question. He's tanned, twinkling and dressed in a sharp white shirt, emerald-green cardigan and black velvet jacket. That the air around him is delicately perfumed with vestigial lunchtime booze just seems like the finishing touch to the portrait of a Manhattan bon viveur.

It also means we start talking about Vine Talk, a faintly ridiculous public broadcast TV wine show in which Tucci presides over a table of cheese-nibbling, wine-supping celebrity friends. So he's something of a wine expert?

"Oh no, not really … I don't know … Oh God, it's terrible," he says,

'Vine Talk' participants in money dispute: Reports
Apparently a little vino can’t solve all of life’s problems.

Syndicated public television show, Vine Talk, is having trouble paying several of the participants who joined actor and host Stanley Tucci for installments of the wine tasting/chat show, according to the New York Times. Jersey Wooly Productions, the show’s primary producer, is said to owe about $500,000 to participants, including Wnet, one of the show’s public television partners, which also housed the show in its Lincoln Center studio.

A spokesperson from Wnet did not immediately return EW’s request for comment, but Tucci’s representative confirmed

I’m back! And coming to you from the shiny new satellite office in Sophia, Wv. Yeah, everyone else thinks it’s weird I’m here, too. Did you miss me? I missed you. Well, some of you. I’ve got a mix of new news and things I think we should have talked about last week, so let’s get to it.

Peter Jackson has decided to release his Hobbit films in December of 2012 and 2013. He’s also decided to title the first The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and the second The Hobbit: There and Back Again. He’s yet to name the giant vault he must be building to put in all the money that he’s going to make.

While we were all spending time with friends and family in the U.S., honoring those who served and gave their lives, not everything went well.
