Exclusive: Judd Nelson Honors The Breakfast Club with Bad Kids Go to Hell

6 December 2012 6:14 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Judd Nelson talks about portraying the authoritative Headmaster Nash in Bad Kids Go to Hell, debuting in theaters December 7

It's been nearly 30 years since the 1984 classic The Breakfast Club found The Brat Pack stuck in detention. This weekend, John Bender himself, Judd Nelson, hands out the punishment as Headmaster Nash in Bad Kids Go to Hell, arriving in theaters December 7.

Director Matthew Spradlin's horror comedy is set at the elite Crestview Academy prep school, where six kids from vastly different backgrounds are forced to spend their Saturday in detention. The plot thickens in devious ways when these kids are killed one by one, making them believe that this library may be haunted after all. I recently had the chance to speak with Judd Nelson about this indie comedy. Here's what he had to say.

I read that you attended a prep school yourself. Obviously it was a much different time, »

The film stars Judd Nelson in a role reversal from his time in “The Breakfast Club.” This time, he’s the one giving out detention slips to high school ne’er-do-wells. What’s Going On In This Bad Kids Go To Hell Trailer?!

23 November 2012 8:26 AM, PST | iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news »

Ok, so I’m not totally sure what to make of this Bad Kids Go To Hell movie just yet. We were sent the trailer via email; its got a catchy title, but is it horror? Do I post about it on the site? Or throw it under the “Beyond Fright” banner? At first glance of the following trailer, it looks like the filmmaker’s are attempting to do a modern day version of The Breakfast Club; hell they even have Judd Nelson in there in one of the adult roles. But then it looks like it takes a rather dark turn. Did they conjure up a nasty entity? Or is one of them killing the rest? Regardless, I’m not sure how to classify this flick but the press release under this video calls it The Grudge meets The Breakfast Club. So I figured it warranted a view. Check »

The After Dinner Club? Watch ‘Bad Kids Go To Hell’ Trailer

20 November 2012 3:30 AM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Here’s the theatrical trailer for The Breakfast Club with a horror twist Bad Kids Go To Hell. The film sees a group of rich and spoiled teenagers serving out their detention on a rainy Saturday afternoon. But rather than getting to know each other with all the fun of the 1980s, these guys find themselves falling victim to a number of mysterious accidents. Even Breakfast Clubber Judd Nelson appears as the school’s Headmaster. The trailer looks like a bit of fun, but I’m not expecting too much. However, I do think we need to start considering some other horror spins on classic comedies. How about Home Alone…With The Devil, Sixteen Candles…Of Death, or even Ferris Bueller’s Day Off…From The Bouncy Castle Testing Facility. Oh the humanity!

Bad Kids Go To Hell is released 7th December 2012. It stars Judd Nelson, Ben Browder, Cameron Deane Stewart, »
