A Great Red Carpet event and a great little flick by these inspirational film makers

I must say that going to watch the long awaited release of The Day Hollywood Died was a night to remember. After a few years we finally get to watch this film that apparently was shot for $5000 in 9 days! It wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster or anything but the story was intriguing enough to keep me watching to know more about it and kept me involved in the film, there are lengthy dialogue moments in the film but it was quirky, rude in some cases and weird but interesting.

There were a lot of funny moments in the film and the twists of the film were unexpected.

Great music score for a micro low budget film and sounded pretty good too.

Don't be quick to judge this film because its not what you expect.

But I enjoyed it and had many laughs.

Great film for it's budget...by debut director Ronnie S. Riskalla

    THE DAY Hollywood DIED

    "WHAT A FILM"

What an awesome film!!! for a budget like this.. right down to the art work that made the film a Hollywood block buster film.. It was really funny.. I loved the character Nenif David he was my favorite He played Johnny in the movie.. The movie had a lot of unexpected twists in it which had me guessing throughout the whole film... The color the music was awesome.. I recommend people to see it.. And those who have a passion for film making THE DAY Hollywood DIED sure will be inspiring for them..I would defiantly watch this film again.. it if there's more screening.. I would love love to tell you more..but without giving out too much.. I really enjoy it!! And I hope to see more great films on the big screens..in the near future so good luck and all the best.

NOT A BAD EFFORT BUT STILL LACKS SUBSTANCE

When I saw the teasers for this film and the poster I was excited. Finally a film that looks like an American film, there was hope that the Aussie's could pull off a micro budget film. The Characters are very interesting but an obvious ripoff of Tarantino style dialogue and similarities to Reservoir Dogs. The best thing in this film is definitely the lead actor Tommy Bradson who gives a riveting performance as a bald headed lunatic boss. I like the look of the film, it has a nice color to it but the camera work looked like students shot it. Further investigation led me to the man who coloured it worked on lord of the rings. How these guys pulled it off it commendable. The story was interesting and the reveal at the end was not obvious but I did find it a little disjointed and confusing. The special effects explosions although better than most micro budgets looked like a video game. Some of the characters made me laugh so I give points to that and by far the most points goes to the musical score - which you can listen to on youtube. Overall I think this could be a cult film and belongs in the $5 bin at your local Best Buy but at least it kept my attention.

a nice little cult film for people to watch and enjoy

Wow, what can i say? For a low budget film, The day Hollywood died is up there and competes with a lot of movies that have a much bigger budget and what will no doubt become a favorite cult movie for years to come. I cant believe that this film was done on such a low budget. The story plot was well written, the music score was at its finest and the characters were a mix of today's society.

Well done to the the producers and to the writer and director of the film. Also the actors, well done. If you enjoy a laugh, keep an eye out for the character Johnny Henson, played by Nenif David. For action, Crane which was played by Tommy Bradson and Ronnie Menton played by Drew Pearson. These guys are sure to be household names in the future.

Well done and cant wait to see future films from this production company.
