An IndyCar was parked inside the DreamWorks studio during production, to provide artists immediate access to the race cars featured in the film.
Reigning Indy Champion Guy Gagné is fittingly named. "(Avoir) Gagné" is the past participle of "to win" in French.
One of the photos Angelo shows Tito about craziness, had Mason and Phil from Madagascar (2005) in it.
In the scene where Turbo breaks the news about wanting to race in the Indy 500, the bottom of the label on the hot sauce his brother is sitting next to says "Warning: PRODUCT CAUSES DEATH.
Ryan Reynolds and Luis Guzmán were previously in Waiting... (2005).

The foreman snail has a moustache that is made of moss. You could technically call it a "Mosstache".
The car in the garage is, or is based on, a 1967 Alfa Romeo Guilia Spider also known as the Duetto.

In the Netflix series based off this movie, Paz, Bobby and the garage workers don't appear. Angelo, however, is mentioned in the episode The Escargot Affair. Guy Gagnè, appears in the season 1 finale, The Snailman.

The only Dreamworks film composed by Henry Jackman to not win an ASCAP Award for Top Box Office Films, as Monsters Vs. Aliens (2009) and Puss In Boots (2011) both won. Coincidentally, both are also the only two Dreamworks films to win the Saturn Award for Best Animated Film, out of 18 nominations.
