Storyline

Lucas grudgingly makes a deal to escape prosecution by wearing a wire to trap Garland. The first time goes well, but Mark insists he must go on to make the case stick. Contractor Jim Dolan comes pick up lizard Teddy, which Charlie 'found' but belongs to his son son Dylan. The birthday boy is too inconsolable to attend his own party, which is a failure anyhow, until the arrival of an unhoped surprise present from the Dolans. Written by KGF Vissers

"I'll keep you out of trouble if you help me get Garland"
22 March 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

The interaction between Lucas and Brennan works quite well, with Brennan actually being professional and competent and Lucas finding himself caught between a rock and a hard place. The way that Kate is subtly brought into Garland's view is nicely done, although Brennan should probably learn not to hang around Lucas' work place practically wearing a badge saying "I am a cop".

Charlie's birthday party brings a few of the characters together.Karl is apparently so much of a comedy character these days that even Oodles of Noodles gets bored looks from a bunch of pre-teens.Letting Charlie get what he wanted after spending the afternoon sulking in someone else's bedroom is an odd message to send out but it lets us see more of Jim and the spark between him and Lyn.Nice continuity point to have him recognise Toadie.
