The film almost did not happen. Though filmed in Edinburgh, the production team was largely from Aberdeen, Scotland, a three hour's drive away. The producer, Anne LaBarbera, who had been in Texas for months, briefly returned to Scotland just in time for a 24 Hour competition sponsored by the Edinburgh Movie Production Society for which she was a mentor. Still jet lagged upon her return to Scotland, Anne called the EMPS equipment master and found out the society's lights were still available to be booked for the competition. Because she had been away so long, everyone in Edinburgh already had a team together so Anne called her old buddies from her university days in Aberdeen and they hopped on a train.
