Parents Guide for
Agneepath (2012) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

In one scene, young girls are shown being auctioned, crude remarks can be heard

Sensuous song - Chikni Chameli - A woman wearing a blouse and skirt (her midriff can be seen) is shown dancing provocatively for a room full of men.

Deleted song - O'Saiyaan - A man and woman have sex at the end of the song, no nudity is seen and the scene is brief

Violence & Gore

This film contains (fairly) strong bloody and occasionally bloody violence. Injury detail is occasionally present, especially in the climax.

There are 2 main accounts of this by the BBFC (British censor board) and CBFC (Indian censor board)

The BBFC certified this film suitable for people 15+ for 'strong violence'

The CBFC certified this 12+ (U/A) saying that none of the violence is very disturbing.

NOTE: The CBFC has historically been more forgiving with violence, whereas the BBFC has been forgiving with sexual content/nudity.

Profanity

mild

The plot involves an island that is taken over for the manufacture of cocaine. The white powder is shown by a man wishing to distribute it to the city. The potential buyer tastes the drugs on the tip of his finger.

A brief shot of man snorting drugs.

A raucous party involves a woman lighting cigarettes for men and passing bottles of alcohol around.

The villain smokes a pipe.

The film is driven by a very intense theme of revenge, although perhaps not as intense as the 1990 Agneepath.

NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN.
