The technical quality of the production has room for improvement. The full screen version has titles and names cutoff in the opening credits. This translates in many partial head scenes in the film. There is also a noticeable sound quality difference in certain scenes as the conversation jumps back and forth.
Trevor (Jean-Claude La Marre) and Charlotte (Nadia Kher) come to LA, apparently the result of a VISA lottery. Unable to find work in LA after one day and disgusted with pizza, burgers, and fries, Trevor decides to open a Caribbean restaurant and all the head aches that go with it.
Ummm. Okay that is pretty much the movie in a nut shell. The problems are minor and don't create a plot that is worthy of your attention. The humor aspect was sadly light, for example:
When they are visiting the pretty real estate broker (Aja De Vargas), she asks, "How did you hear about me?"
Trevor answers, "Craig's List."
The film includes a guy who stutters (Don Hale Jr.), perhaps so we could compare it to the equally bad "Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles" which BTW a customer did request in the film.
PARENTAL GUIDE: No sex or nudity. I don't recall any fowl language other than jerk chicken.
