Watching this felt like sitting on a cactus

Really, this 2011 movie is the perfect example which only elderly females could enjoy and that does not include these with a taste for film. Christiane Hörbiger has the charisma and range of an elderly Veronica Ferres and that is not meant in a positive way. It's surprising for me to see she acted in over 100 movies already and won basically everything one can win in the German-language award shows. Director Stephan Meyer is a pretty experienced television filmmaker, at least much more experienced than the two women who came up with this horrible script.

The film sacrifices credible story lines for cliché and making the protagonists (especially Hörbiger) appear as baity as possible with no real justification to their actions. But the worst thing about this movie is that it is extremely misandric from start to finish during its almost 90 minutes. All the male characters have crucial weaknesses and the women seem like goddesses compared to them. It's supposed to be a comedy for the most part, but the only line I found slightly funny was the Loriot reference "Ein Klavier! Ein Klavier!" early in the film. I especially feel sorry for Peter Prager here who was much more talent and range than possibly anybody in the cast here and than he was allowed to display here with the horribly weak way his character was written.

The film has bad sex jokes and teaches the audience that it is fine if you leave your family without saying a word for weeks instead of talking about the issues you struggle with. Apart from that both female protagonists acted in a very artificial and hammy manner that was occasionally painful to watch. But the script was probably even worse than their performances. Please stay away. A definite contender for worst 2011 movie, especially in the German speaking area.
