Red Princess Blues: Genesis (2011)

** (out of 4)

This sequel to RED PRINCESS BLUES further tells the story of the lead character Princess and how she became who she is. This anime film was co-directed by Alex Ferrari and Dan Cregan and while it's more creative than the original it's certainly not quite as entertaining. The biggest problem I had with the film is that it had very little story and what story and characters were here just weren't interesting enough to keep me entertained throughout the short running time. I did like the look of the animation and thought there was some nice atmosphere but there wasn't enough here to make me recommend it.
