As evidenced by the steady stream of set photos, Atlanta is still playing host to Avengers 4, Marvel’s unnamed sequel currently on course for a release in 2019.
Nipping at the heels of Infinity War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo
have now switched gears to orchestrate the second, conclusive chapter in their two-part epic, which presumably pits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos for the final time in May of 2019. So far, most of the titular heroes have been confirmed to be appearing in the superhero extravaganza, but today, we’re hearing that someone rather unexpected may be involved, too: Crossbones.
Having been originally introduced simply as Brock Rumlow, a sleeper agent of Hydra, in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier
, he ironically saw his screentime reduced when he finally emerged as a full-blown Crossbones two years later in Civil War. And, of course, he met his demise in the opening salvo.
