Their stated goal is to uphold the law of the land and put the bad guys behind bars, but every TV fan knows that our favorite small-screen cops, detectives, and agents — as well as their colleagues who semi-officially serve in crime-fighting capacities — have a duty to increase pulses and raise the temperatures of whatever rooms they enter.
We recently wrapped up a 64-player bracket tournament for male law-enforcement types — won by NCIS‘ Tony Dinozzo — and since we’re equal opportunity oglers/romantics, we figured we’d better construct a similar showdown for their female counterparts.

CBS, as almost always, swept Tuesday’s ratings this week, with NCIS besting all comers in both total viewers and in the coveted 18-49 demo. Fox, meanwhile, started the evening out on the down side, but saw its fortunes rise as its line-up unspooled.
Let’s take a look, hour-by-hour:
8 pm | With just under 20 million total viewers and a 4.0 demo rating, NCIS was down just a half of a half of a hair from last week. ABC’s sitcombo of Last Man Standing (9 mil/2.6) and Man Up (6.3 mil/1.7) was flat, while Glee (7.1 mil/2.9) drew a few extra eyeballs but dipped »

Dylan Walsh is already making new memories. The former Nip/Tuck doc and star of the new crime drama Unforgettable revealed Tuesday to People that he is the proud father of a 6-week-old daughter. His daughter is named Amelie Belle—a beautiful name—literally—if we ever heard one. This is the fourth child for Walsh, who has two teenagers, Thomas and Joanna, with first wife Melora Walters and an almost-8-year-old daughter named Stella with second wife Joanna Going. The project is being sold by Im Global at this year’s American Film Market; Neil Moritz is producing through Original Films, as is writer J.H. Wyman for Frequency Films.
Farrell will be playing “Victor, right hand man to an underground crime lord in New York City who is seduced and blackmailed by Beatrice (Rapace), a crime victim seeking retribution.” Shooting on the film will begin in early 2012, making a release toward the end of next year a real possibility. At the same time, they could try and take advantage of the success seen by action films in the beginning of the year, »
