In other times, the kingdom of Edenia was a kingdom of peace, until Edenia's best warrior lost 10 tournaments of Mortal Kombat. This allowed the Outworld to invade their lands. The Outworld king, Shao Khan, let their warriors take control over Edenia. The king of Edenia, King Jarrod, and wife Sindel and daughter Kitana tried to escape, but the king was killed by Baraka and queen and princess were captured by Shao Khan, who forced Sindel to marries him. Fearing that Kitana hate him when she knows the truth, Shao Khan ordered to make a clone of her... Mileena.
