Very well done documentary film! Both entertaining & Informative!

I was fortunate to catch the premier of this film a couple weeks ago. It's the story of the Templeton Rye. Templeton is a business started in Iowa back before & continuing through when liquor was illegal. The history of the liquor, and moreover the people involved in it's "production & distribution" is a great look into the Templeton "legend". This film delves into the whiskey and those responsible for it's being a sometimes overlooked part of Iowa history. Director Kristian Day captured the spirit of the community. He was able to get people traditionally protective of their community and neighbors to open up about some very personal memories. These are people who have been part of the community for decades and very familiar with the (usually closely guarded) history of Templeton Rye. Some of the elder interviewees even seemed to hush their voices "from habit" &/or revert to their childlike mannerisms as they recounted some of their memories. I found it very interesting and well-produced. It was as entertaining as it was informative..making a great documentary film!
