(S5. E11) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 11 ''The Family''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 10/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. This little girl could lose both her parents? That sucks. The little girl is so adorable. Dr. Lim and Dr. Andrews need to solve the problems they have with each other. I like that the little girl only wants to talk to Shaun, she trusts him. The way Shaun shared his story about his dead brother was emotional. Dr. Andrews speech during the surgery was beautiful. Im glad they were able to save the girl and both her parents. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

This was a really lovely episode. I tears in my eyes a lot while watching it. It was very much a transition episode. Staff coming to terms with what happened last episode, what led to that, and reconnecting with each other. As well, it signified a new beginning, a way forward. I got from it closure, connection, hope and love. Probably my favourite episode this season.

I think Salen arc is good, and I love this episode too, love the interaction between Shaun and the little girl (the girl so sweet !!), feel like back to the show we loved. But you could easily feel that, especially from the past preview of next episode, the writers are running out of new idea ...... sex again ? REALLY? I think this topic already done very well in S3 & S4 .... i hope they could write something new.....

unless they are planning to use andrews as the antagonist now
to me, lin is the nagging annoying one.. questioning andrews trying to save the guys arm and even saying he is an ego maniac,, easy for her to say, she is not the one losing the arm anyway.
Shawn with the little girl was cool.. humanizing him and making him interact more deeply with other people than his fiance.
Well, it was good one.. i think.. andrews just needs more to do.

Have loved The Good Doctor throughout and Freddie Highmore is developing into a fine actor. Much as I hate to admit it, there is nothing here now the Salen arc is finished. Did not like that plotline very much, but it gave the show a spine from which other things were supported. Without it we have a sentimental saccharine shell with no substance. Easily the worst episode of season 5.
