Just Jared posted over thirty-five photos from the set of director Alex Kurtzman's The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. In the photos, we see the first appearance of actress Sofia Boutella as the titular villain in full costume and makeup. Apparently she is controlling a group of people in the scene.
The Mummy is planned as the first film in a series of interconnected monster films as Universal hopes to build a cinematic universe out of its vault of classic creature features.
Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, »

Bacon is slated to both star in and executive produce the continuation of the franchise, and today revealed to Twitter that the project is still very much in development and is planned as a ten-episode mini-series:
Blumhouse and Universal Cable Productions are producing the project while Andrew Miller ("The Secret Circle") is writing the script. The action will return to the fictional Nevada desert town of Perfection, where the first movie took place. »

Back in November, news broke that a new TV series is being developed based on the 1990 cult classic Tremors, with Kevin Bacon in the lead. He starred in the original as monster hunter Valentine McKee, and is coming back to both star in and executive produce the continuation of this popular horror franchise. Unfortunately, we haven't heard anything further about this TV series since then. Thankfully, Kevin Bacon revealed today that the project is still very much in development. It is being planned as a 10-episode mini-series. Unfortunately, we don't know much else at this point.
Kevin Bacon himself shared the news today during a video Q&A session on his Twitter page, where he was asked by a fan if he'd actually consider making another Tremors movie. Sadly, the actor doesn't shed any light on the story, or when the series may air, but it seems the miniseries is still in active development. »
Without a doubt, Kingsman: The Secret Service was a film that easily landed in my top five favorite films of last year. It was fun, action-packed, irreverent, and had one of the best villains I'd seen in a movie in a long time. The cast was amazing, and above all else, it was a perfect vehicle for relative newcomer Taron Egerton, who absolutely nailed the role.
Admittedly, Kingsman isn't a film that really needed a sequel, but when director Matthew Vaughn signed on to continue the franchise, few felt the impulse to complain. Vaughn was responsible for the already-stellar first film, so who's to say he wouldn't continue that trend?
Now I know you're here for a poster, but before I go any further, I feel compelled to give some sort of spoiler warning, as I doubt you'll understand the poster without having seen the first film.
So Spoiler Alert for the first Kingsman film! »

Just last week, we reported that ABC had ordered a time-travel drama pilot from Kevin Williamson. Now, Deadline is reporting that The CW has ordered a paranormal series pilot from Williamson.

As a lover of sci-fi, Ya, and female characters with personalities beyond “love interest,” I often find myself trying, and failing, to sell people on the CW’s postapocalyptic drama The 100, which returns for its third season tonight. The show is admittedly silly-sounding: 97 years after a nuclear holocaust, 100 juvenile offenders are sent down from a dying space station, the Ark, to see if Earth is inhabitable again. It’s BSG with teens!Unfortunately, those who disregard it are missing out on not just a surprisingly deep take on the moral calculus of survival, but also sci-fi’s best teen protagonist in a long while: Clarke Griffin. The blonde-haired, blue-eyed Clarke, played by Eliza Taylor, initially presents as a classic teen heroine — kind, smart, brave, loved — akin to the young women populating the forgotten graveyard of teen TV, including The Secret Circle’s Cassie Blake, Star-Crossed’s Emery, and the »
