Storyline

On the morning of November the Fifth a cantankerous old lady called Betty wanders into the flat, insisting she lives there. She tells him that she is always wandering off and her very rich son rewards the people who bring her back. Lee could do with the cash to buy fireworks to impress Lucy so he and Tim walk her round the streets with the sign 'Do You Know This Woman?' until an acquaintance of Betty tells them that she lives in a very big house. Will Lee get the money or will virtue bring its own reward as he invites Betty to his roof-top firework display? Written by don @ minifie-1

The invasion of Betty.
20 January 2016 | by (Swansea, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Bonfire night fast approaches, Lee suggests a romantic bonfire and fireworks evening on the roof with Lucy, she agrees. An early knock on the door sees elderly lady Betty walk in and make herself at home, unaware of where she is. It's up to Lee to try and find out who she is and get her back home safely. The only thing on Lee's mind though is the private firework festival for himself and Lucy.

Vilma Hollingbery is hilarious as Betty, she's put in some great performances over the year, legendary in Psychoville, and memorable in Inside no.9, enjoyed her in this very much, hilarious. That Pigeon joke is hilarious. The ending is really funny too, sweetness descends into mayhem once again.

Favourite bit has to be Lee and Tim's attempts at finding someone who recognises Betty. 8/10
