Better without Pete
rmmil16 March 2022
Even though it wasn't the best, this show is still way better without Pete Davidson. His inability to read cue cards and do live comedy is why he should have left the show years ago. Go do your terrible films and leave this show alone. The 3-4 episodes without him have been way better than the ones with.

As usual the cold opener was a dud. They should stop trying to do comedy about serious topics, they obviously can't navigate it.

The Kate / Aidy "nerd kid" skit is a repeater that was never funny, I don't know why they keep doing it. However, there were some funny parts to the show overall.

The Alex Moffat "LSD" film reviewer is always very funny, and Weekend Update as a whole was good.

Zoe Kravitz seemed to have a hard time with cue cards herself, but I thought she had good comedic timing overall.

It was decent, I hope Pete stays away.

Decent

Some of the sketches seemed to have no point or premise but the first, with Kate and Aidy as nerds, was actually enjoyable and funny. Weekend Update included a few decent jokes, too.

Zoë Kravitz/Rosalía

Some decent sketches here, but nothing overly stand out.

Kravitz showed a good knack for comedy I hadn't seen much of elsewhere, but this was the usual mix of good, ok, and meh sketches overall.

Is there a writers strike?

Zoë Kravitz played all her roles well but she was given crappy material to work with. Jokes were flat and repetitive ("momh*le, disappearing cat) and I only laughed out loud a couple of times.

Weakest episode in a while, and where is Aristotle Athari?
myehsan13 March 2022
What's up with the bad jokes? This episode was super boring and the only part that was some of the Colin Jost and Michael Che.

Also why is the new guy Aristotle Athari barely in the show? The guy had some really funny sketches in the early episodes of this season but suddenly he is just in one boring and juvenile sketch in this episode and has barely a line to say!

Alex Moffat Scored a Touchdown
yohnny13 March 2022
Channeling famously dead DJ Casey Kasem to some extent, Moffat's "Terry Fink the Film Critic" character is always good for some laughs. I especially enjoyed the LSD allegation. Alex stole the show! He hit a home run.
