Regan is returning! E! News has confirmed that Megan Fox has signed on for a major recurring arc on New Girl—but there's a catch. The actress, who will reprise her role as pharmaceutical rep Reagan in the upcoming sixth season of the Fox sitcom, won't rejoin the series until midseason as she is currently expecting her third child with husband Brian Austin Green. Fox joined the show in the middle of its fifth season when star Zooey Deschanel was on maternity leave. Her character, Reagan, sublet a room in the loft and struck up a flirtation with Jake Johnson's Nick. Disney's Rocketeer 2 Will Have a Black Female Lead

21 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Disney's 1991 classic The Rocketeer is coming back to the big screen with a big twist. Walt Disney Pictures has put what is described as a "sequel-reboot" to the original movie in development, which will be called The Rocketeers and will be set six years after the events of the original, taking place at the outset of the Cold War. The title character will not be Cliff Secord from the original, with a new character taking over.

The original movie, based on the 1980s indie comic by Dave Stevens, followed Cliff Secord, played by Billy Campbell, a stunt pilot who discovers a rocket pack suit, as he goes on adventures that puts him in the crosshairs of monsters, Nazis and even industrialist Howard Hughes. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Cliff Secord has disappeared while fighting the Nazis, which paves the way for a young African-American female pilot, who takes up the mantle of Rocketeer. »

26 July 2016 5:17 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last week, we reported that Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is teaming up with Adam Sandler on his new movie Sandy Wexler, the third project in his four-picture deal with Netflix that includes The Ridiculous Six and The Do-Over. Today we have word that the cast just keeps getting bigger and bigger, with frequent Adam Sandler collaborators Kevin James, Terry Crews, Rob Schneider, Colin Quinn and Nick Swardson coming aboard, along with New Girl star Lamorne Morris. The most interesting casting addition, though, is former talk show host Arsenio Hall, appearing in his first movie in seven years.

The story follows Adam Sandler as the title character, a talent manager in Los Angeles who represent a variety of different clients who are on the "fringes" of the entertainment industry. Warner Bros. picks 'Dope' actor to play Iris West in 'The Flash' movie

25 July 2016 3:25 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

The Warner Bros. movie universe has just cast Kiersey Clemons as Iris West for The Flash starring Ezra Miller. The film is set to be directed by Rick Famuyiwa who also directed the actor in his critically acclaimed Dope. Variety reports Clemons will join Miller who already made his debut as Barry Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (we just saw a lot more of him in the first Justice League trailer!). Although it's not confirmed, Variety writes, "Insiders reveal that Clemons is likely to play Iris West, the tough-as-nails journalist and friend of Barry Allen, the Flash’s alter ego." You may recall actor Candice Patton made headlines when she was cast as Iris for The CW's The Flash because she didn't look quite like the comic book version of the character (she's been fantastic in the role, just as Grant Gustin has been as Barry). 13 Geeks We'd Like to Take Out for a Drink

25 July 2016 8:00 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

From the stereotypical ones with glasses to the ones who are just a little nerdy on the inside, some of our favorite TV characters are the ones who are total geeks.

Here are 13 of those geeks we adore so much, we'd love to share a drink with them.

1. Liz Lemon (30 Rock) She can be awkward, that's for sure, but can you imagine anyone more fun to hang out and have a cocktail with than 30 Rock's Liz Lemon? 2. Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory) Listen, Sheldon Cooper is a difficult guy, so it might not be that fun to hang out with him in general. But when he starts drinking? Who wouldn't want to be around for that? 3. Chuck Bartowski (Chuck) If there's such a thing as a cool geek (and come on, there totally is) then Chuck Bartowski, played by Zachary Levi, fits the bill. We'd definitely love to share »

Stream this in the summer: 'United States of Tara'

21 July 2016 6:00 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

In my early days on the beat, NBC had an ad campaign encouraging people to watch summer reruns, promising, "If you haven't seen it, it's new to you!" In the age of Peak TV, that slogan seems less cynical than accurate. The rise of streaming services has put the bulk of TV history only a click or two away, which means that people are constantly discovering The Wire, or Arrested Development, or Terriers (sigh) for the very first time. In lieu of a summer rewind this year, I wanted to offer up primers of shows you can stream, whether an older series available in full(*) or something current you can catch up on before its next season begins. So far, I've done a pair of current shows in  Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Halt and Catch Fire, and wanted to shift gears this week to do a completed series. (*) Note: with these picks, »

Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis make a break for safety in the final set photos for Universal’s reboot of The Mummy, now that principal photography has officially wrapped.

Cruise and the Peaky Blinders actress were spotted filming last-minute scenes on the streets of London, running square in front of a giant fan. Is it possible that Sofia Boutella’s ancient deity will be whipping up a literal storm in the English capital? Time will tell.

What we do know, however, is a general overview of the story fuelling Alex Kurtzman’s long-awaited franchise overhaul, as the filmmaker looks to unlock Universal’s world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy Reboot Set Photos Have Tom Cruise Running for His Life

17 July 2016 2:10 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last week, fans got their first look at The Mummy star Sofia Boutella with set photos as production continues. Filming has been under way since late April, when we got our first look at Tom Cruise and his co-star Annabelle Wallis. As production continues, we have even more photos of Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis who are seen springing into action.

The photos surfaced on various Twitter pages, featuring Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis going on the run from unseen enemies. There is very little we know about the scene itself, except both actors are seen running from someone, or something. It's certainly possible that both stars were running from Sofia Boutella's title character, but we don't know for certain.

Mummy Reboot Set Photos Reveal Sofia Boutella's Queen

10 July 2016 2:42 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Production has been under way on Universal's The Mummy since April, but there is still much we don't know about this upcoming adventure. Tom Cruise is set to star, although little is known about his character, with Kingsman: The Secret Service breakout star Sofia Boutella playing the title character, marking the first time in franchise history a female has played The Mummy. Today we have the first photos from the set with Sofia Boutella in action.

The photos surfaced on various Twitter pages, giving us our first look at Sofia Boutella's costume as the title character, which come just a few months after our first look at Tom Cruise on the set. Unfortunately, we don't get a glimpse at any of the actress' co-stars, and it isn't exactly clear what is happening in this scene. One thing is for certain, though, her costume is certainly unique.

Ezra Miller has long been attached as the title character, making his Dceu debut in this spring's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but no other cast members have been announced.
